A few things to keep in mind:
Used vinyl is much more preferred, but pay close attention to the quality!
Online sources (such as Discogs) rate their used vinyl very well
Always try to find vinyl that contains the original inner sleeve and outer sleeve
Remastered is just that: remastered, it's not the original
New vinyl is great for new releases (obviously) and hard to find oldies and hip/hop
